A Lack of References
I made a comment.
I was asked a question.
I responded to the question.
I had a follow-up question to the first question and therefore asked it.
The party of the first question refused to share information.
Somewhere in all of this, I feel there is a social conversation etiquette violation going on. From the copy of Emily Post's Etiquette I have in my apartment, I found the chapter on Conversation [which really isnt on conversation but on how to appear to be in the conversation]. From the first line she stated "Ideal conversation should be a matter of equal give and take..."
There was a lot of giving on my part and not a lot taking...
Which is why I have ended up on strike.
Which is why I am currently looking for a reference on social conversation that supports my point, that the party of the first type owes me an answer to my question after I answered their question.
